From 1st August, the daily service Beijing-Rome is operated with the state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner – Last Tuesday 20th September, Air China and ADR Aeroporti di Roma presented to the media the airline’s 293-seater B787-9 Dreamliner

The industry-leading technology of the B787 Dreamliner is creating remarkable opportunities for airlines around the world and dramatically improving the air travel experience. The B787’s unparalleled fuel efficiency and range flexibility (less fuel consumption as compared to similar aircraft, lower CO2 emission) enables carriers to profitably open new routes as well as optimize fleet and network performance.

Flight deck

The flight deck of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner introduces new technologies to help pilots work more efficiently and safely while maintaining significant operational commonality with previous generations of Boeing airplanes. Operational commonality is the similarity between airplanes in operating procedures, checklists, and flight crew interfaces. Commonality simplifies training and can decrease airline operating costs. To achieve operational commonality with the B777, the Boeing team worked to ensure the new airplane would in many ways “feel” like a B777, while implementing new capabilities and simplifying the flight deck.
