Air France and KLM at Malpensa – Air France B787-9 Dreamliner media event

Air France and KLM come back to Malpensa after five years; last 26th March, they started operating five daily services to Paris CDG and four daily services to Amsterdam Schipol, respectively. To celebrate the comeback, last 28th March, Air France operated the morning service from Paris with its new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner and held a press conference to illustrate the new flights; at the end of the press conference, the airline presented to the media its B787-9 Dreamliner.

Cabin layout

The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner is the B787 family mid-sized jetliner; the fuselage measures 63 m from nose to tail; and the fuselage cross-section is 5,49 m wide. Air France B787-9 Dreamliner features 276 seats in a 3-class configuration: 30 Business Class seats, 21 Premium Economy Class seats and 225 Economy Class seats.

Business Class

The Business Class cabin has 30 fully-flat seats (60″ pitch, 21″ width) in a 1-2-1 layout. Each seat has a 16″ HD touch screen with IFE remote in the side of the seat, privacy screen, in-seat power and double USB connectors, personal reading light and mood lighting.

Economy Class – Premium Economy Class

The Economy Class cabin has 225 standard seats (31″ pitch, 17″ width) in a 3-3-3 layout and the Premium Economy cabin has 21 recliner seats (40″ pitch, 19″ width) in a 2-3-2 layout; each seat has an individual 16″ HD touch screen, shared power outlets in between seats and mood lighting.
